The day after I posted the vignette with this amber depression glass club dish in it, I ran across another piece !
Lo and behold, waiting for me at the Salvation Army was this piece, a green spade!
So now my "bridge set" is halfway complete!
From the information I've been able to gather, these little glass dishes were used for candy, nuts, or ash trays during card parties, thus the name "bridge set". They were made by the Indiana Glass Company during the depression. The pattern is called Sandwich glass. Now I need to keep my eyes peeled for a heart dish and a diamond dish... Wish me luck!
